Her debut single, Here, in 2015, when she was just 19. It was a hugely acclaimed track by both critics and listeners. It peaked at number 19 on the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song as one of 2015's most memorable Songs. The same year, she debuted her album Know It All with the third single Scars to Your Beautiful being one of the five original songs which peaked on the Billboard charts. This includes the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. This track was special because, based on her Rap-Up interview she conducted, many of her listeners were able to connect to her experiences of discovering their own love as well as doubting herself. Cara's music is known to include messages of kindness as well as self-love and mental wellbeing. The music of Cara is directly from her struggles with insomnia, mental illness and other issues. According to an Reuters interview she describes her album as half-tumultuous and half complete. She found that therapy has helped her develop and encourages others to do the same. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician was born in Canada on 11 July 1996, was a daughter of Italian parents of Italian descent. Her parents gave her a brand-new guitar, which she used to develop her passion for music. At the age of 13she began covering songs she adored on YouTube in order to show her fans that she had talent and was able to pursue a career as musician. Sweater Weather is among the covers that resulted in her being discovered by EP Entertainment. This record label allowed her create the songs she wrote herself.
