She gained international fame when she was cast in the role of Mia Colucci in the hit Mexican telenovela Rebelde and as a member of the Latin Grammy-nominated pop group RBD. Anahi is a solo performer, has sold over three million albums. Anahi first made her appearance in 1985 with a Mexican television program called Chiquilladas at just two years of age. Anahi was born Marichelo Portilla on May 14th 1983 was the son of Enrique Puente (Spanish father) and Marichelo Puente (Mexican mother). Her older sisters are: Marichelo Puente (1978), a television personality, and Diana Puente (1978), a younger half-sister who was a child of the marriage that she had with her father.
